Welcome to WINGS Birding Tours

Welcome to the WINGS website. We hope you find it informative and easy to navigate, and we hope too that you will let us know if you see anything amiss.

The tours we offer are in a sense labors of love, the brainchildren of our leaders who have typically spent months and in many cases years in their favorite regions. The itineraries represent their sense of the best places to take groups watching birds, filtered through the pragmatic screen of our local ground agents and the WINGS office. The results, we believe, are tours which are full of birds, educational, safe and great fun.

While most of our tours are organized around birds, a few have other objectives that may equal or exceed birds in importance. Our “Birds and Music/Birds and History/Birds and…” series has been especially popular among people with varied interests, and among couples, only one of whom is a serious birdwatcher. If you fall in either or both of these categories, we recommend the series to your attention.

We know that no text or image can ever convey how a trip is actually conducted. If neither you nor any of your friends has traveled with us, we would be happy to put you in touch with people who have.
