Evan first discovered—and fell in love with—the natural world on the New Jersey farmland where he has lived all his life. Today, he can’t remember a time when he wasn’t obsessed with the flight and songs of birds. He has traveled and birded all around Europe, parts of Asia, Africa, and tropical America. At home with Joanna, Evan fishes for trout and searches for nests, and can often be heard blowing on a harmonica.
